The climb may be over,
but the work is still on!
What would you do if you found out that girls can miss up to 50 days of school because they couldn’t afford menstrual pads?
You recruit a team to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro.
That’s what high school senior Bella Wiener did in June 2015 – and her #climbforSHE team trekked Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise $51,615 to help SHE increase access to more affordable pads to the 6,000 girls in Rwanda who need them this year. That’s nearly $3 for each step it takes to scale Mt. Kilimanjaro! Here’s a short video of their climb.
The impact has been extraordinary, but there’s still work to be done. We’re working to increase our output to 10,000 pads per day from 1,000. That will allow us to deliver our pads to 250,000 girls in Rwanda by the end of 2017. Be a SHE Champion on your next adventure and raise funds for SHE’s work.
What are you waiting for?
Here’s how you can get it done.
You don’t have to climb a mountain – but you can join Bella too – step for step – with your own #climbforSHE fundraiser.
Want to give instead? There’s a role for everyone on the #climbforSHE team.
Your gift will be directly invested in expanding our pad production
to reach an additional 6,000 girls by end of 2015.

What does it take to take on Mt. Kilimanjaro?
A mix of grit, strength, and a lot of hours on the treadmill to prepare for the rigorous trek.
